Position overview 

As the Software Team Lead, your responsibilities extend across leadership of 2 Software Engineers, steering the agile process, making sure the technical direction is kept in close cooperation with the team as well as hands-on technical tasks.

Reporting to the Software Director, you will focus on both expanding and maintaining the platform.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and mentor: Guide software engineers through the development lifecycle, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality software solutions.
• Collaboration and communication: Work closely with the Product Owner and stakeholders to define project requirements and align them with business goals.
• Agile process: Lead and oversee all stages of the agile process, including refinement, planning, and tracking progress.
• Technical expertise: Provide technical guidance and support to the team, and contribute as a developer on concrete tasks when time allows.
• Code review and quality assurance: Ensure coding standards are met and implement practices to maintain high software quality.
• PCI compliance: Ensure PCI DSS Level 1 requirements are met, viewing them as strengths and helpful tools rather than obstacles.

Qualifications

• Strong background in software engineering, with either leadership experience or involvement in technical leadership/responsibility, combined with a desire to grow into a team leader role.
• Understanding of software engineering practices, team collaboration, and agile processes.
• Solid decision-making skills, with a focus on effective communication and a collaborative approach to software development.
• Advanced understanding of object-oriented programming principles (OOP, OOD, SOLID), algorithms, data structures, and design patterns.
• Skilled in profiling, debugging, and using code quality tools like SonarQube.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment with a proactive and growth-oriented mindset.
• Proficiency in English; Danish is beneficial.

In your advantage

• Familiarity with PHP frameworks such as Symfony or Laravel
• PCI DSS compliance experience
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
